Meaning of Life

Have you ever wondered: why the f*ck am I alive? If you have, you’re in the right place. In this article, I am going to share what the meaning of life is.

The meaning of life is…NOTHING

You’re probably wondering: “WTF is this SH*T? What is she on about?” You mean, I’ve been living all this time for no reason? *gasp*

Yep, pretty much.

KEYS:

  • If the meaning of life is nothing, you can create ALL the possibilities you want.
  • EVERY¬†failure, EVERY bad decision, EVERY mistake, will all be forgotten in the end.
  • Life is designed for us to CREATE what we want.
  • Life is the existence of ALL, at a certain moment in time ~ We are as much the universe as a star, a cell, or anything else.
  • Life is complicated, but if we take the time to explore it, we find endless beauty and possibilities.
  • If you have the possibility to create what you want, WHY NOT DO IT?
  • YOU get to CREATE your own MEANING, you have the CHOICE
  • WHY NOT be happy?

Here’s why:

Humans believe that the world revolves around them but in fact, the world doesn’t revolve around us. *gasp*

Imagine this: we are tiny specks of dust compared to the universe. For all we know, the universe that we live in could be a million times bigger. This shows that there is still so much that we don’t know about. There is so much going on around us, so many events that are happening in this moment in time, while you are reading this. Most of the times, we let our ego take over, having a greater sense of self rather than community.

It is absolutely impossible for human beings in this generation to be able to process all of the information out there due to the limited brain capacity. This is why our brains have filters, in fact, it is not possible at this stage in time to fully be aware of everything because our brains would be overwhelmed with information. Our brains have to have filters because it creates our personalities, for example my cognitive biases wouldn’t be the same as someone else’s. This is due to the information we choose to prioritize at that moment in time. We can choose what we focus on, if we focus on negative thoughts, our experiences would be negative.

It is complete BS that we say: we don’t have time because each of us have 24 hours in a day which is plenty to do what we want. The problem is that people don’t want to own up and take responsibility for their lives. If everyone understood how valuable time is, our world would be a better environment. In fact, we can even choose how we spend our time and maximise the 24 hours.

Understanding that we only have a short life span, only about 100 years to human knowledge. We understand that we might end up dead forever so life will go on without us. We only live once. Therefore instead of asking why we are alive, we should ask: how can we make the most out of life?

We have to understand that when we were given life, we will also die someday. This means that if you’re going to live and die, whatever you have created won’t matter because no one will remember what happened.

  • This means that every failure, every bad decision, every mistake you’ve ever made will all be forgotten in the end.

We only make meaning to what we find valuable.

So, if life isn’t valuable to you, you will try to find the reason for why you’re alive, instead of accepting it. ~ This comes from the fear, denying something, which leads to negative thought patterns.

In the end, what you do will not ever matter, so who’s to stop you to create what you want? Most people regret what they didn’t do, not what they did. So, if there’s something you know you should do, do it now because you might never have the chance again.

The meaning of life can be anything you want because there is no universal standard for what life is, everyone can give a different explanation for what life is based on their personal experience but each individual has to find their own purpose and meaning. Because if the meaning of life is nothing, you can create anything for yourself.

If we can’t answer the question: why am I alive, why ask it? If we accept the fact that we’re alive for a reason, rather than denying it, we can move on and create whatever possibilities we want.

In fact, is is a grace that we can even think about these concepts, experience life: feelings, art, beauty, being with each other… If we think about it, we are the universe’s SENSORY organs.

We forget that there is a whole universe outside and inside of us, there are BILLIONS of cells working together to make up who we are, we are essentially made up of chemicals. Our bodies are so unique, and so are we. This is why the meaning of life is nothing, because we can’t even begin to describe half of the things that happen inside of us.

We know:

  1. We will someday die
  2. We are alive
  3. Time is precious and we can NEVER replicate a moment.

But there is still so much we don’t know, we have to stay curious and explore by taking responsibility.
